| | Dr.Jens P.Tronskar received his Master of Science in Materials Physics and Metallurgy from the Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTH) and his Doctor of Philosophy in Mechancical Engineering, Applied Fracture Mechanics from National University of Singapore. He is certified welding engineer EWE (European Welding Federation) and international welding engineer IWE (International Institute of Welding) |

| | Dr. Tronskar has been involved in materials evaluation and testing for many North Sea field development projects since the early 80's. the projects have included fracture mechanics and fitness-for-service assessments of fixed offshore installations. TLP's, floating production vessels and process equipment, onshore gas processing plants and onshore/offshore pipelines. During the last 9.5 years he has been involved in similar work for offshore projects in South East Asia and Australia. He has developed the DNV Risk Based Inspection (RBI) and Maintenance planning services (RCM) in Asia and Pacific and has been involved in Risk Based Inspection projects in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Taiwan, South Korea. He has also performed fitness-for-service and risk of assessment of pipelines and risers in the North Sea, South China Sea, China and in Australia
Dr. Tronskar has presented papers at international conference in Europe, America and Asia and has published more than 30 articles on fracture mechanics analysis of weldments and structural components, pipelines and risers as well as on Weldability of structural and pipeline steels |

| | Dr. Tronskar is DNV's Fellow for Materials technology and Testing. His responsibilities include apart from the day to day operation of DNV Asset Inegrity Management Services in Asia and Pacific (Offices in Singapore, KL, Jakarta) aoso to develop DNV's resources for Risk assessment and asset operation services in China from the DNV Shanghai office. |
