Hydrocarbon Asia is organizing this Conference "Corrosion Management in Refineries and Processing Plants"to address key areas of corrosion diffusion in refinery equipment, including corrosion under insulation (CUI). The conference also reviews factors affecting corrosion such as carburization and metal dusting as well as corrosion in steel and other materials used in refineries.
Corrosion has been a serious concern in refineries, especially as the age of plants increases. This conference will highlight corrosion problems in a range of refinery equipment including storage tanks, HF alkylation’s units, sour water strippers and insulated units. Delegates will also learn how corrosion can be measured and controlled. Other concerns to be discussed are ways of testing for corrosion and cracking in refineries together with integrity and life cycle assessment techniques. Also being covered will be ways of trouble-shooting corrosion problems and preventative measures such as coating systems.
With distinguished keynote and technical speakers addressing the continuing problems arising from corrosion, this Refinery Corrosion Conference will provide valuable insights for all professionals concerned with design, maintenance and optimization of refineries in the petrochemical industry.
An advisory panel of industry experts has been put together to ensure that the conference is of high quality. Members of the panel include Mr. David MacLaren (Managing Director, Maintenance Technologies Pte Ltd),Mr. Pappu Sundaramoorthy (Senior Manager, Mechanical & Civil Engineering Services Shell Refinery, Singapore)Mr. Zulkifli, Corrosion Material Engineer, Ethylene/Polyethylene (M), PETRONAS Subsidiary, Malaysia), Dr Mark Moore, Technical Specialist, Baker Petrolite, Singapore).

Abstracts of papers on any of the topics mentioned above are actively solicited although other topics of equal interest will also be considered.
Authors who wish to share their experience & knowledge in their field of expertise are invited to submit an abstract of their paper for consideration by the technical committee.
Guideline:
The author should submit an abstract of no more than 400 words in MS WORD format and state clearly the objectives, subject matter and conclusion to be presented in the full papers. The abstract should be accompanied by
the authors’ bio data(s) (<100 words) and photo(s). All final papers MUST be written in MS WORD, to facilitate publications of selected papers in PetroMin, Pipeliner & Hydrocarbon Asia. ‘Power Point’ submissions will not be considered for publication. But the presenter should present his paper using Power Point that covers the main points of the paper and various illustrations.
