![]() Abstract Submission - Deadline 11th June 2010 Notification of Acceptance - within 7 days of submission Final Paper Submission - Deadline 27th July 2010
Deepwater E&P technology has become increasingly critical for effective, economical development of offshore fields. At present, offshore E&P facilities, including both topside platform structures and underwater subsea systems, have been designed and constructed with conventional materials, i.e., steel and concrete. In deeper fields, conventional materials become less practical, because of weight and fabrication considerations. Alternatives, such as advanced composites, offer significant enabling capabilities and economies that could facilitate and accelerate deepwater technology development for future offshore petroleum drilling and production. However, it also is clear that — owing to complex material, design and regulatory issues unique to offshore systems — significant development work must be done before the full potential of offshore composites can be realized. ![]() Oil & Gas professionals involved in the use of composite materials will find this event beneficial as it encases on everything from basic materials to cutting-edge technology. Abstracts of papers on any of the topics mentioned below are being actively solicited, although other topics of equal interest on Composites Technology will also be considered. Papers of mainly commercial content are not encouraged and final selections will be on the basis of papers that expand the level of 'composite' knowledge and beneficial to the participants. Suggested Topics for this event are stated below for your reference. • ATL/AFP, Filament Winding • Autoclave Technology • CAD, CAM, Process Control Technology • Casting Technology • Composites Machining • Compression, Pressure Molding • Cutting, Nesting, Machining Technology • LFRT, Injection Molding • Pultrusion • Resin Infusion, VARTM • RTM • Spray Up • Tooling Technology • Fibers/Reinforcements • Carbon Fiber • Glass Fiber • Resins/Matrices • Thermoplastics • Thermosets ![]() Interested authors should submit an abstract of no more than 400 words in MS Word format and should state clearly the objectives, subject matter and conclusions to be presented in the full paper. The abstract should be accompanied by the authors' bio data (<100 words) and photo/s preferably in JPEG format. ![]() All final papers MUST be in written 'word format' so that later publication in PetroMin/PetroMin Pipeliner is possible. 'Power Point' submission for publication will not be considered, but the presenter should present his paper using 'Power Point' that covers the main points of the paper and various illustrations. ![]() Your final papers presented during the conference, depending on the strength of the subject, will be published in our PetroMin or PetroMin Pipeliner Magazines (Hard Copies), which are circulated freely to eligible Executives/Professionals in the Oil & Gas, Energy, Petrochemical and Processing Plants and related Service Industries in Asia. The magazines are audited by BPA International Annualy. The speaker's name, his biodata, company and presentation synopsis will be published and also presented on our Web site: www.safan.com and other marketing printed brochures and promotional materials of the conference. Speakers can also submit their Company logos to be included in our conference promotional materials and on our website (until the end of the conference). If requested, the images can also be linked to their respective websites. This will be an added publicity of their company's participation at the conference.
