Theme of the Conference: "Meeting the Challenges - Through Learning and Sharing"

This is the second regional Jack-Up Conference to be organised in Asia, which has the largest Jack-up construction capability. The conference will cover technical papers on Design, Construction of Jack-Up drilling platforms, Jack-Up site assessment, Appropriate methods of analysing Jack-Ups, Servicing and repair of structures, Upgrade, Operation in shallow and deep water conditions, Project Management, Risk and Integrity Management, Associated contrivances involved in Jack-Up, Jack-up Lift boat, Self installing mini platform, Swamp barges and Operational issues. Papers on New challenges, Environmental care and Green issues, Regulatory issues, Logistics challenges are also welcome.

Abstract Invitation & Guideline
PetroMin invites companies and professionals involved in the Design, Construction and Operations of Jack-Ups to submit abstracts, of not more than 400 words, for consideration by the program committee. The abstract should reach us before 22nd August 2008 along with a photograph and the biodata of the author. You may either submit your abstract online or via e-mail.

The program committee will review the written papers to ensure that the content is in line with the objective of the conference, which is:

"SHARE YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE ASSOCIATED WITH TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCES IN JACK-UP TECHNOLOGY AND OPERATIONS".

Please note:
In the interest of the industry, selected papers will be published in PetroMin Magazine and also presented on our Website: www.safan.com. "Papers of purely marketing/commerical nature will not be considered".

Abstracts of papers on any of the topics mentioned above are being actively solicited although other topics of equal interest will also be considered. Companies who wish to share their experience/knowledge in the development projects are invited to provide an abstract of their paper for consideration by the programme committee.
